Td5 Disco....... Whats wrong please?

Yesterday got in the car, tuned the key and as nomal, off the girl went.... for about 3 seconds

Left it about a minute or 2 and tried again..nup, won't fire

Called my mate who is a guru (he is a mecahnic and does work on mine, s well as hunfreds of other landies)..... pump the pedal with the ignition on 5 times, wait for 1 min with the fuel pump whirring away......nup

Just won't fire up......any ideas?

Fuel pump buggered, or you have run out of fuel :D

have you tried turning the alarm on then off again....?

Is your fuel pressure reg leaking????
When mine was just after fixing I had several refuse to starts,turned out to be diesel all over the trigger wire on the starter motor,cleaned it and no problems since.

its not oil in the harness.....?

Try using your spare key fob to start it, it may just be as simple as a dying battery on the key fob (thus not turning the imobiliser off)

i thought of that.....thats why i asked if it was cranking over.....
if the fob dies.....it wont even crank the engine over......at least thats what happened to lurch.......

bad earth to the ECU or one of the fuses powering the ECU has gone and it cant fire the injectors.... check the rave manual for which one does it, I know where it is in a deefer just not the disco..
