View Full Version : Am i missing something ?

i noticed on my Fender today that on the drivers side under-neath looks like it it missing a steering component i dont know much about steering so i dunno if they are all like that ? or if anybody knows if iam actually missing something plz tell me :(
This is the passengers side

But then the drivers side doesnt have the steering rod (if thats what it is:p )

You will find that the left hand drives models will . eg they won't have it connected on your sided one.

No, mine is exactly the same - the reason being is that the front end components are manufactured to cater for both RHD & LHD situations.

If you could look at a LHD Defender the unused bit would be on the passengers side.

I could send you a pic of mine from underneath if you wish, but then I need to take off the underbody protection, and right now it's very muddy. I'll see what I can do.

the steering rod for that side is behind the axle. Double sided components to suit the different needs of a world market.
