water has stopped beading on the bonnet of bub002,,
how much polishing will these things take before damage is done,,,

ie; can I use a powered device?

any suggestions?

In my experience there are two considerations for you.

1. Powered devices spray product around and it's a bitch to get off all the little dots.
2. Powered devices should only be used where you're trying to fix something. They introduce swirls and can stuff things up real bad!

Why not just apply a bit of clear coat cleaner and a nice wax by hand? Unless you're correcting problems you shouldn't need to put much elbow in.

In that case use a cleaner and then a polish. Hand application is all you need, make sure its not to hot a day and you are in the shade.

Use a good silicone based polish Pedro, and good old fashion elbow grease.

If it is a metallic or similar finish do not use a power buffer, it will leave swirls on the paintwork. This came from a professional car detailer.

G'day Pedro :)

I would suggest that you use "Kitten Polishes" Kitten No2 is the cut /cleaner, and No1 is the polish ;) Kitten products have been around for about 30+ years and have been used in the trade for almost that long.

cheers.

The top coat on most newer vehicles is a clear coat/s that is what degrades and gives "Cancer" like appearance:)

cheers
