I was getting real keen to put a blower on the D2 V8 to get some better power out of it for towing, but after a trip to the experts today they recon it would be too hard as there is not enough room to fit anything.:(

I would love to hear if anyone has done it.

I'm sure I've seen it mentioned in a 4WD mag a few years back. Either a D1 or a D2 can't remember. Isn't there a crowd in WA that specialize in superchargers?

Yep, they only do them for the D1 and only 3.5 and 3.9 motors.

Deacon have done them on 4.0 and 4.6 Rangie motors mut never on a D2.

Ahh! That will have been them for sure. I'd look to the states, but you're probably going to need a bonnet mod to squeeze it in (and some flames painted on the front guards:D ).

I'm sure you could squeeze in a sprintex, capa or powerdyne blower in there, the roots type like Eatons would be hard as they generally need to be top mounted.

Had an Eatons blower on a 3.9 in a 93 RR. Is there that much less room in a D2??

Yes...a lot less.

Deacon Automotive have specialised in blowing Landrovers and have done almost every type of Landrover except the D2. They had a look today ad do not believe that you will fit anything under the bonnet unless you put a scoop on. There is not even room for a side centrifugal unit.
They said they could build a custom job and modify the bonnet but you would be looking at more than $15k
