Work has a very large plotter/scanner (http://www.fxap.com.sg/products/productDescription.jsp?id=22) which would be ideal for scanning paper maps for OziExplorer etc.

I haven't played with it yet, but i will next week when im back at work.

PM if you are would like any maps scanned

I've had a play with the Scanner today..

The maximum paper size is 914mm x 5m
Maximum res is 600dpi
The only bummer is its purely black and white

Saves scans as *.tif

not trying to p155 on your parade, but have you seen the 1:50,000 digital maps sets for Victoria and NSW on the GPSaustralia forums? they are essentially free, in colour and already calibrated etc for OziExplorer... food for thought!

the main thread is here: http://www.gpsaustralia.net/forums/showthread.php't=1830

there is also shedloads of info there on ozi map grabber... awesome little application!
