View Full Version : An apology to SEQ AULRO

I would like to formally apologise to the AULRO members of SEQ... after the running of the Duck Creek trip yesterday and seeing how many non-GCLRO participants we had after opening to all aulro members, i was reminded of something :(

When i first joined AULRO I made many fantastic friends by organising trips away through AULRO... a couple of us seem'd to be the ones always instigating something to do. But this was also my problem, as we were running so many trips 7 of us regulars decided we should formalise things and hence the GCLRO was born

But since that day we have continued to organise trips, usually 2 to 3 a month but they were now club trips and non-members never heard about them (& would not be allowed to attend regardless without being a member)... so we are happy to say that we have 42 members since forming 18 months ago and all those members are active on the forum in one way or another... but this does not help non-members

So we have made a decision as of today that any of our Green-Blue rated trips (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/showthread.php't=36779) will now be promoted to all AULRO members. I apologise again for forgetting about our roots to a degree but we are now going to rectify this... oh and we have a Condamine Gorge run in a couple weeks for those interested :D :D :D

Sincerest regards,

only been a member here for a day but have been a voyeur for a couple months ago and it looks like you GC boys are very active throughout the forums, and after reading this post i can see why.

Well done for what you have achieved and thank-you for making an effort to go back to your roots... i hope to get out on a trip or 2 with everyone soon to put some faces (or more importantly vehicles) to usernames

That's a good idea.

Our club has ratings
Easy
Medium
Hard
Extreme

Unless you have done a D/A (Driver Awareness) course with us then you can't do anything rated harder than Easy.

Although we had one trip recently that was Easy but got into Medium territory by accident. No real harm done that time but keep it in mind.
