Well again its turned to brown sticky stuff and im not talking about big twigs....
I need a hand in fairly short order to get the new house sorted...
most urgently I need a decent gen set, one with enough grunt to run one maybe 2 floor sanders, im thinking 2.5-3 kva (real kva not peak rated essentially a 11hp genny). IF youve got one in brissy I can borrow from say anytime tonight through to the end of the weekend that would be excellent.Ring me on 0408849649 or pm me and I'll come and grab it after hours when its most convenient for you.
On the house I need to sand floors and dig a trench out to the garage to put the power and data cables in. The more the merrier.
I cant offer a whole lot in return as most of my gear is still in storage, but I'll try to get a mates bbq to lay that on and will pick up the beer from a local bottlo as the car fridge doesnt hold all that much. I might be able to do some deals on servicing and repairs for those who turn up...
Thanx in advance for those who can.

dave,
at this stage, i have nothing planned for saturday, but that may change, will have a look at how the week goes, otherwise, I think i can make, it
good excuse to get away from the orchard.
Will try to work out the quickest way to amberley, through Logan is the best isn't it?
Do you need any tools brought along or do you have everything, wood butchering tools thats is, thats what i have been trained in in a previous life.

Yep wood butching tools would be good, we need to recess the mains box and some power cables. And SWMBO will want to talk to you about a kitchen and cupboards and a bathroom and a deck and new windows and a new room on the house and an avairy and a and some shelves, and a wall unit, and some stairs and the kitchen sin.. oh wait that would be part of the kitchen.....

Interesting, it wouldn't be an ex def house by any chance.

Why do you need a genset? Is it for 3 phase or you are living elsewhere and don't have the power on yet?
We have one that is way overkill but it is a bit far away anyway.

Dave: In a past life i was an electronics installation techo, get the cables ready or if you need I'll load up with what I have, there's a lot of kilometres of all sorts of stuff.
Give us a further run down of what is already onsite, I take it you're yet to get power as in 240v........
I'll trade you for some of those excess wheel bearings and hubs seals:cool:

need the gen set as the sparky will be wiring as we go and the power is out as we've just had the asbestos pulled out and the house harness looks like something that only lucas could design.
so to do the floor sanding in preperation for polishing the floorboards we need power.
quiggers NO WHEEL BEARINGS.... seals I can help ya with...
what have ya got you can lay on cable wise? were getting 3 phase in to deal with the load were likely to be throwing onto it (aircon, kitchen, HWS and the shed :) ) If youre likely to have stuff we can use to wire a house up (and im making the house network ready) drop me a PM by then I should have the list of what we actually need, but some kick ass 3 phase cabling to run to the shed would not go astray.
Im staying at my mates place so when we get the house on and get the net on and and and...

Dave, PM me with times etc when you have it sorted. I'll be free that day.
Will bring my laptop over with maps if you have something I can put them onto. Otherwise I'll burn DVDs before I come.
If anyone else comes that wants some Ozi maps you can have them too.

Hi Dave,
Sorry to be ANOTHER one that can be of no assistance with labour, ( body is wracked with ex-military injuries )...++++ we are expecting our First child within the next 2 weeks, been a rolercoaster pregnancy..........would have been nice to welcome you to Sunny Qld in person, rather than on the end of a Keyboard. Maybe sometime in the future,
Cheers,
Pug.

Dave,
my utmost apologies, i have fallen foul of the, thats a great plan , now lets see some b....d come along and stuff it up.
In a nutshell, wife is working night shift friday and saturday night, gets home usually late in the morning, no 1 son working on saturday, so i have to drive him in, as wife is usually too tired or asleeep, but he finishes at 3pm so I go and pick him up.
Wouldn't be a problem if we lived in town.
I'll await your next request, perhaps helping unpack, or whatever.

I'll see you there. Although not pre 0700
I'll byo shovel and whatever hand tools I have at home. Sounds like they might come in handy. Most of my stuff is at work though and lucky me isn't there ;)
As for living that close to the base, do you walk to work or is the entrance on the other side? Can't get much closer.

should be, its not a short trench I have to dig, even if you just turn up for the bbq and to help out with the last minute stuff that'd be great as our aircons have arrived, we need to clean up the back yard in order to get the plasterers in on monday If i get to bed before midnight saturday Im counting that as a lucky break,
For those coming
if someone happens to have have an empty 6x4 trailer or similar they can drag along that would be helpful as I can forsee having 2 trailers on site being helpful as I'll probabley need one for tip runs and the other for picking up stuff. (beer, bbq for starters :) )
For those who can turn up TY in advance.
