LandyAndy
19th April 2007, 07:50 PM
Hi Guys
Im wondering how many of you are considering the coolant sensor advertised on here????
Is anybody in touch with the manufacturer?????
Im thinking that if we all put an AULRO order in together we may get a discount.
After an engine destruction this week Im keen to get 1 for the Disco and 1 for the Trytoos replacement.
Hands up who would is interested.

Hi Andy.
I'm just about to ring them about these as I put an order in and want to pay via CC.
I think it's just the low water alarm at $145 not the multi alarm type which is no doubt considerably more expensive.
What size discount are you looking for with a multiple order?
Alan.

just came in to check the site while the silicone is drying on the sensor of the engine saver

those of you with a coolant alarm on your todo list my advise do it and do it now!

Our lucky escape started when I bought the engine saver in October 2006 received it the day after I ordered it and put it on the workshop bench and you all know how it is, time gets away from you ie. the P gaskets got a bit of a weep I'll get that fixed first it needs to have the fan take off to get to it and its due for a timing belt change in a few thou k's when I get it done I'll get the P gasket fixed, get it done mechanic says "Dave you realy need a coolant alarm fitted yada yada" yep I've got one I'll do a coolant change and fit the alarm no worries and then its Easter ( I know 6 months later) need to get away where will we go I Know! into some of the most remote country in east Gippsland and southern NSW have a great trip back to work on Monday drive into the car park pull up with people pointing at the front of the Defender get out and what the! coolant everywhere and nearly as much tears from me! open the expansion tank carefully and its about half what it should be phew! coolant still pouring out trace it to the waterpump seal, it must have just started to leak large amounts of coolant as I pulled up in the carpark. anyway new water pump fitted motor is fine and alarm being fitted as I type
moral of the story when you get a coolant alarm fit is straight away! not six months later!

Hi Alan and others
My idea is to run this post for a few more days, get an idea of the numbers interested and ask what sort of deal they can do.
The one Im talkink about is the popup that appears at the top of the page from time to time.
Low coolant only,2 types, sensor in the hose or a plastic piece that fits in the hose.Next time I see the add I will link it.

I must admit I was wondering how it would work regarding postage to 50 different locations, but let's see how good our negotiator is...

You could always cut down on work by doing group club orders. As in only sending one package per club. Sure not everyone is in a club but it would still cut down on a fair few I'd reckon. Especially with all the various LROCs.

I'll have one as well. Just replaced the dreaded split black tank having kept a very close watch due to its age and reputation. I reacted to the first signs of coolant loss and evidence of a leak on the outside of the expansion tank. Putting the old tank under airline pressure indicated a very large split fortunately not equalled by the coolant loss volume. Impending disaster averted.

Hi Guys
GREAT NEWS
Ive spoken to David Jones, the Engine Saver man,he has offered AULRO members a substantial discount per engine saver.
PLEASE NOTE,he doesnt want the discount mentioned online as its a special deal for AULRO only, and doesnt want to upset his agents.
So the deal is,PM me,I will tell you the discount he is offering,I will give you your code number which you quote when ordering from his website. You will need to give me your "real name" you will be using when you order direct as I have to supply him with the names/codes.
ALSO please state which variant you wish to buy,the ESO 1200 (sensor into radiator hose) or ESS 1242 (inline version) See the website for more info.
http://www.enginesaver.com.au/
I will make a sticky post up with a link to the thread I will be placing in"Vendors offering a discount to AULRO members"
David recommends the inline sensor, mainly as it has a bigger sensor compared to the in hose version, plus fitting is so much easier.
Well done David,THANKYOU!!!!!
Get in and order people, the cost of these are nothing compared to overheated motor!!!!!

Can I make a suggestion? Can it be open till the 18th (friday)? I reakon a lot of us get paid mid month, and I know I need to order more than one (need to get one for SWMBO's car (suzuki sierra).

Otherwise it'll just on the plastic and make the damn banks better off. :-)

Hi Guys
For ease of fitting, the inline for sure, less chance of it lealing and according to David jones, the guy who builds them the inline has a bigger sensor.
Most of you guys that have requested order codes have chosen the inline sensor.
David is happy to honour all codes for 30 days after the offer closes on Sat 12th may.
David is looking for agents for these units,if you are interested contact David via his website.
