Hi there

I got sick of putting in kits - just spend less than $100 and put in a new clutch & brake master cylinder.

Touch wood - its been good for the past 8 months.

Yup, Nothing surer. :D 3/4 inch Girling trailer brake cylinder. 50 bucks from Australian Brake Services. Plus some grunting, groaning n the usual skun knuckles changing the bugger

Mate... The only problem with your clutch peddle is that you need a new car attaching to it. :p

hopped in the fender yesterday and the clutch felt funny, looked down att he floor and sure enough a puddle of brake fluid

not sure if i will get a kit or a complete new one, i thought when i rebuilt it on the simpson desert it was sleeved, maybe it was not, the kit only lasted 18 months

Ah. Almost to easy that one. But welcome to the fraternity brother man.

My right foot gets wet. Not raining, Landy in the shed, and water still drips onto my right foot from some blxxdy where. The Series model has its heater core in front of the firewall, on the left, so it can't be that.
I just accept it as a Landy quirk.:)

Shorty.

picked up a new one today, aftermarket $65, they even provided a set of instructions for setting up the clutch pedal height to the right height 140mm and some tips on bleeding the system

While its leaking there is still oil in it:D

Got that from a Yank in a BlackHawk (mid 80's)scarey I was in it and we were flying:eek:

What were you doing in a Black Hawk?

Probably worrying. They don't fly so good, don'tcha know. Me? I don't like choppers much. Flew in them from carrier decks. Shacky, rattley, not good. Seen far too many go crash, all fall down hurt.

That Yank, must have owned a Triumph motorcycle, We Trumpy owners know this to be true. If it isn't leaking there is no oil in it.

Shorty.

So do you guys recommend not using OEM clutch master cylinders? Are the after market ones better or just cheaper?

Go aftermarket James. PBR or similar Aussie made. The quality will be up to Aus standards and probably cheaper than OEM. Pommy Girling? Eeuw.

Had no clutch problems, touch wood, but it only cost me $65 for the set of 4 front brake cylinders for my S3. That was to bore, hone and rebuild, while I drank coffee and chatted to the office girl.

Shorty.
