Went camping this weekend east of Esperance (Mungliginup). For LandyAndy we had 4 days of beautiful weather. Even amazed us. Not many fish though. Will have to take you out this way next time down.

The last couple were in fact Duke of Orleans Bay, spent 1/2 of Sunday there on way home. About 2okms from where we were camped. Saw a huge school of largish fish in the water but did not get the lines in quick enough. School was being followed by 3 Rays of some sort.

Looks like you had a great time!. :D
Slight typo in the name. It's Mungliginup (not to be confused with Munglinup, which is the other way) and the beach near it is sometimes called Membinup. Oh well, when it comes to the names of places around here I usually find myself Givinup!

Thanks Jamo, Was trying to remember the name late last night and had not taken my laptop with the maps out of the Fender. Have changed it to its correct name. Could not believe the beautiful days we had. Looks like we left at the right time, just a bit wet here now hey? A fair bit of weed around though.
Time to start planning the next weekend getaway!!
Will keep you updated if you want to come out. Going to try and get away at least every 8 weeks.
Just short overnighters over winter we think and when the weather starts to warm probablly some time out at Thomas River or Poison Creek. In the mean time short trips to the Dukes, Dunns and maybe Peak Charles or even Mt Ridley.
Even had a nice mud hole on the weekend. Drove into it in high range and then a bit of a drop and ended up in mud over the side steps. Low range and a bit of work and popped it out, mud spinning up over roof level. Good fun, hardest part was getting momentum to pop up out of the 2 foot face at the end.
:D :D
