Here is my receipe for a fun day out.

The Power lines track is in good all round 4WD condition, it remains a place for the head and not the right foot and so is a fantastic training ground.

My back end slid into a deep rut that cracked the bumper and tail light on a particularly steep and rutted section. My own fault for not throwing in a couple of well placed rocks first.

The track has some great mud holes that are loads of fun and pretty fool proof.

Higly recomended, especially before they (authorities) close it like I believe they are looking to do.

Shame there were no other takers, a bit late notice I know but my mate and I had a great day out. His Triton is also quite capable (considering it has leafs on the back)

In WA about 45 mins out of Perth. Its well known around town as the Powerlines Track. Its suppose to be a power line service track but is very well used as a 4WD playground. Very challenging in places but really has something for everyone.

Ken,

You can join it from just outside Mundairing, take the great eastern highway untill you get to Flynn drive, turn left there. This is gravel and then a couple of Km's up you will get to overhead powerlines. turn left again and your on it.

There are easy ways around everything but you are much better off taking your time, walking everything and doing all the best (challenging bits) If your not already an accomplished driver it will teach you a great many things. In fact it has a habbit of taking a swipe and experienced drivers too.

Good stuff Studio!!!!
Been up there a few times.
Those mudholes were real full last time we were out there.
You need a real back bumper like mine!!!!,If you need a new rear light I have both mine and the bumper never to be used again.Ripped it of twice!!!
How did the Trytoo go???? I like them, despite our pathetic thing down the back yard, has your mate got the $500 factory air locker in the rear???
Our '88 Trytoo went heaps better than it should have off-road,no front travel but a good LSD up the rear, and as much if not more gogo from the '92 Pajahero 2.5TDI
Them coil sprung front ends in the new Trytoo will make a world of difference!!!!
