What he said.
The main thing is to make sure the conversion was done correctly, if it has and it runs well most other problems, appart from serious rust can be relatively easy to fix, but if the engine conversion has been done in anyway dodgily dont touch it, the problems will never end. matt

If it is half as good as it looks it would be a good buy, damn i hate having no cash.

bargains and top buys never become available when you have cash, murphy and his law decide that for us.
But as you say LR, if it is as good as it looks its a good buy, especially given the price.

Looks good, for the $ is a real steal. I converted mine last year and it cost me more than that whole car!
Engine looks tight at firewall, almost no room to get at injector or rocker cover, so would suggest a 25mm body lift.

Looks like a bargain. Still a good mech check would not hurt. I would love a RR again, but with the diesel.

Neil,
Mine started life as a 1988 TurboD, so only one wire to run the engine, and heavy noise mat on engine side of firewall. I put a 50mm body lift in, gives plenty of room above engine at firewall.
The end result is very good, and given that I am running recycled fuel and diesel mix, very economical.
Plan on adding gas system and you have a clean running powerhouse!
Michael
PS. I'll try and get a couple of pics of engine bay etc for you, but basically looks like a Disco Tdi.

Just spent $7500 on a carolla just before easter after looking for the last year for a Rangie worth having, and wanting to do the conversion.
Mrs Rover decided she liked the roller so we traded the Jeep.
Would have been more than happy to buy that, put a set of BFG AT's on it and steel the wranglers for the disco and then sell the Jeep for more stuff for the Disco.

michael, look forward to the pics mate, been doing a lot of research about getting a appleseed jobbie up and running a home, reckon that would be the perfect test bed for the fuel
