Has anybody tried the Matzker modifications as reported in the LRO magazine (Dec 06 ed)? For those who haven't seen the report, try this link http://www.matzker.de/shop_content.php?coid+16
The report is in german, but what the hell! Learn another language.
I'm curious to know if anybody here in Aus, has imported a kit, or had one fitted, as I'm very interested. Other than purchasing straight from the manufacturer, I don't know where else to go.
Any ideas?

PM Sneigy...

He had a customer touring the world rock up in one with the kit fitted...

He was suitably impressed.

Pretty darn pricey I hear (think it was around $3k)

I read a group from the UK who went to Morocco a few months ago and one of the D3's had the Matzker suspension height kit.

The suspension isn't designed to be stretched that far for extended periods when off road. It's extra height has the effect of limiting wheel travel; and puts extra stress on CV joints etc.

I understand the full kit involves stiffer dampers as well and is mainly designed for high speed road stuff, rather than off road.

The D3 already lowers itself at 160kph to aid stability, but I think the Matzker kit lowers it even more.

So from what I've been told, it seems it's good for road but not good for off-road.
