I saw this ad on Ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300104641113&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:AU:1
The seller says they are tweeters. I thought this originally when I got my Disco and was informed they are part of the ultra sonic alarm sensor, those and the other 2 on the interior light.
I thought I should email the seller to advise him and the reply I got was that he has worked for Lr for 9 years and they are tweeters, when the sterio is on sound comes out of them.
Have I got egg on my face?

Yes you have egg on your face, too save face just say you have industrial deafness and cannot hear high pitched notes therefore tweeters are useless too you.

Do you want some bacon with thise eggs.....? Yeh, they are tweaters for the stereo. I think other pillars have the ultrasonics on them but these are certainly tweaters. Sorry if I have spoiled your day!

I do have hearing loss to certain frequencies. But I still am going to check my RAVE cd to see if they are mentioned.I have never heard any bird calls coming out of those tweeters, maybe mine only chirp in baritone, and since I don't play Bee
Gee songs, to get the quality of high pitched voices.:D
Anyway in future I;m not going to be Mr. Nice guy and try and help people on ebay:p:p:p:p
In fact I just stuck my ear directly to it and no sound comes out of it

Hey Travolta just cause it's called a Disco doesn't mean it only has quadraphonic sound, old fart.

It's a fair mistake though the quality of the drivers in the D2 is that crap that you could be mistaken that it only has 4 speakers

The alarm sensors are to the left of the passengers head above the door.

Yep ....they are tweeters ( hi freq speakers )
The ultrasonic alarm transponders ( if you have them ) are up between the "A" and "B" pillars
