I need a spa bath expert. I have a standard rectangular bath that has six nozzles. It runs OK for about 10 minutes and then switches off by itself. Sometimes stays on if the airsucker that makes the bubbles is turned off - if the airsucker is turned on the bath pump switches off. On switching it back on it only runs for a couple of seconds before it switches off.
The switch for the pump is air pressure activated and operates a switch box that then provides power to the pump. I have checked the air line and seems to be sealing OK and not loosing pressure. Last night I connected the pump via an extension cord to the power bypassing the switch box and the pump continued to work in all conditions so the pointer is to the switchbox having a problem - when I connected the switchbox after my bath the pump would not operate.
Any ideas? I assume there is some sort of diaphram in the switch box that holds air pressure but if that was the problem the pump would not run at all. The problem seems to be related to letting air into the water system when bubbles are required.
Thanks Garry
