I know this has been tantilising everyone on the forum for quite some time.

He comes out with some hints in posts like this:

I carry 2 inverters and one of those cheapy 800w 2 strokes from bunnings, super crap, aldi, kmart and a few other less reputable places...

The genset stays in the trailer with the chainsaw stuff and only comes out if im running the flood lights, grinder or drill for some reason or need the 30amp battery toaster other than that the little inverter charges laptops and mobiles from the car and the other one runs from a battery on a solar panel in the trailer.
PErsonally my usual recovery kit consists of. (if playing seriously)

2 shovels
2 axes
1 mattock and pick
2 drag chians (8t drag 4t lift)
2 tirfors (2t and 5t)
1 75 ft tow rope with hooks (used only for towing once recovered)
1 snatch block (8t)
one snatch strap
2 strops (8t and 20t)
10 shackles of assorted sizes from 3.5t to 12t
2x high lift jacks
lots of base plate sized wood blocks
air compressor
exhaust bag jack
gloves
calculator
first aid kit
gum boots
spare socks

(about 1/2 of this is always on board regardless)

my extended klt also includes over 300m of tirfor compatable winch lines, chainsaws, track links from a bren gun, ground stakes,

I still dont have a power winch, and to be honest Havent missed it...
My GO box contains (the one thats almost always in big red)

a complete 3/8th inch drive socket set from 8mm-19mm and imperial equivelents

a set of ring open end spanners from 8-24mm (and imperial to match)

A complete set of screwdrivers 13 pieces all up

4 sets of pliers (needle nose, sidecutters, 2 sizes of bull nose combos)

2 pairs of multigrips with soft rubber jaws so they can be used as brake hose clamps if needed

a small engineers ball pein hammer

trouble light.

3 shifters 4 inch, 8 inch and 12 inch.

an assortment of loctites, gasket goops, cake of soap, chalk, paint pen, hand cleaner.

some wire, fuses, bulbs, random washers, self tapping screws (most of this has made its way to the bottom of the box from non vehicle related stuff and stayed there)
But inquiring minds want to see the full list.

With pics.:D

And maybe some video to convince us that it actually goes with so much gear on board.:D:D

geez Simon, that's not much, you've seen those Leyland Brothers docos:D:D:D

Apart from hundreds of jerrycans and spares, they even took a thing that looked like a moon buggy somewhere! (Their crossing of the Simpson?)

I might draw the line at a 42" HD flatscreen tho'...:D:D

BTW: I've carried a 35mm arri kit in the X1/9, seven transit cases, legs, head etc, and almost enough room for me...

And this also :

and most places dont get upset if you happen to have a bag of fertilizer in the back of your deefer, the claymores strapped to the bull bar for "tree control" tends to raise a few eyebrows...

dont forget the big green trailer, half the gear goes in that.....

Not all the gear goes all the time, some of it is like "mission packs" I dont take it unless theres a specific need to IE I know that Im going as the recovery dude or as the camp cook.

Yep a loadout set of pics has been done but it was done after the move and after the laptop stopped talking to the camera...

Dobbbos seen it in trim with the sleeping setup in the back

since big red is due for a clean out and service perhaps a newer set of pics is in order.....

This is the list of stuff that normally rides in the back of or under the rear seats of Big Red unless Ive stripped the back out to make room for moving stuff or becuase I specifically want to carry something bigger from one of the "mission kits".

Usually If Im doing that I dont need to be able to take passangers so theres a bit of a reshuffle the stuff under the seats goes on the floor in front of the seats and then the right hand side seat is flipped forwards.

Items listed in Red Always come.

In the back under the frame or in front of the fridge

the aircompressor,
the firstaid kit,
exhaust bag jack,
toolbox with airfittings+tyre inflator gear
toolbox (same as airline box) with drag chain, shackles, snatch strap, rigger gloves
tyrepliers and rubber mallet
jaffle iron
2 fire extinguisers
welder/rigging gloves
.30cal liner with drag chain in it
12 can cooler with elecritcal gear in it (multimeter, wire, fuses, bulbs, generic soldering/electrical crap)
milk crate (jumperleads, tow rope, snatch block, 600w inverter, spare gloves, toilet rolls, small wheel chocks, spare gas can for the stove)

Under the seat bases

normal rover higlift like jack
real highlift jack
bolt cutters
2x mattock heads
mattock handle
2x shovels
axe
dustpan+ brush
generic vehicle toolbox (aka the GO box)

not in the pic is the baseplates for the jack, the gas cooker, foodstuffs, water containers + entertainment gear. If they come and the seats are up they go under the lids for the back wooden frame with just a little space for rags to spare. (you can just make out one of the baseplates in the second pic

If the Bed is setup they ride in the front of the rear seats on the floor.
2676

with the rear seatup all of the stuff fits in the back (along with the fridge) under the framework and normally the right and center seats would be free and the Go box lives in front of Alex's seat on the floor.
2677

we normally have a 75mm thick single matress that is a perfect fit ontop of the frame setup as seen above and we throw our echelon bags behind the drivers head rest and the toiletries ontop of the go box in front of Alex's baby seat. Theres at least 3 pillows and 2 sleeping bags that lay out ontop of the bedframe

Oh well, when you put it that way it doesn't look like much.

Maybe you should change names from Big Red to The Tardis.:D

Worst experience of not enough space.

Driving the twins around for a nap when they were about six months old. Cedar sideboard, 'bout a hundred and fifty years old in the chuckouts. In beautiful condition. Giant pram in the back of the subaru, the 130 was sitting outside the mechanic busted. No roof racks.

Drove to mechanics, just in case I could drive the couple of k's to get it. No go, got about a km before it all went bad.

Drove past a few minutes later, some ar*e in a hatchback was stuffing it in through the hatch and bits were falling off everywhere. Nearly jumped out and killed him.

Cheers
Simon.
