I shall watch with interest. I have had the Gen III with 6 speed manual idea for the Rangie floating around in my head for a while.

WIll hopefully cut the roof down (dual cab roof) over the next week or so, then make up some brackets for the rear of the cab to mount to the front.

Scored 2 under dash aircons for it, just need to source a defender heater now.
Do a trial fit then gut it down to the chassis, cut and shut the chassis, engineer it, then put it all back together:D
And i need to decide on a colour aswell

Roof trial fit before cutting it to shape, basically bolted together ready to make brackets for the rear of the cab.
Roof has had more hits than the beatles, must have been a rollover job, fill is about 8mm thick in spots. Oh well might just bog it up, take a mould and make a fibreglass one, just need to work out the frame work, gutters and mounting, rest is easy, might even do a couple of spares.

trial fit of the engine and trans, need to work out engine mounts and exhaust. could cut and shut the manifolds to make them fit.
Also need to look at how/wjere the levers for the hi/low on the t/c and the handbrake work in a 110. Any one got any pics?

Get a late model Disco/Defender cable operated handbrake then you don
t have to stuff around with linkages.

Handbrake lever bolts onto the vertical surface of the seat box like the county as you know.
The Cable handbrake unit is bolt on to the output housing of the transfer and is compatible.

Dave.

Cable, good thinking dave. I remember seeind a thread on here on a rangie handbrake modded to suit, and it goes on the top of the seat box, will have a look into it.
now just have to work out the t/c lever as the t/c sits 50mm further back

Not a lot, was measuring up the infill panels for the cab extension, so will look at getting them done in the next week or so.
Have to move the engine/gearbox back 50mm to clear the intake pipe and thermo fans. Have to re-design engine mounts again after i do this.
Once the cab is done then off it comes and then the chassis extension is getting done (unless someone knows where i can get a CHEAP 130 chassis).
Gotta get stuck into it now as we are looking at buying another block of land and building on it:)

Moved it back, will start mounts tomorrow. After looking at Matts Jag with the Gen3 in it on the weekend, i've decided to make my own extractors, can get a kit for $385inc. How hard can it be:D

I have an unfinished project S3 109 stretched to 127 wagon body cutbehind rear seat and rear wall and window fitted with short tray to form duel cab ute fitted with 4.3 v6 GM diesel. the chassis has been extended same place as factory job and looks great.
Has standard trany with fairy o/drive.

Your mod should produce a great new beast.

good luck

No mate it came as an unfinished project -- the bloke must have had access to cheap s/steel material and bolts.
The chassis job is very neat!!

Yeah hand balled it to matt, i don't have time, and wouldn't really suit what i had planned for it. Easier for me to make money and buy a new van, than work on projects.:)
