I've just been having a look at the new Freelander 2 details on the LR Australia site.
There's quite a few decent videos showing the car in various driving conditions, including a rally test !!
It looks the goods so lets hope the rest of it is up to scratch.

I've seen few of them running around near PAG head office (it's on my way to uni) - at first sight I thought "What the heck is that?", then proceeded to find a green oval, and then misread the numberplate as N-FLOP! :o:)

They did a test on it on 5th gear last week, they were impressed, and the latest LROI has one in it also, he was very impressed, especially with off road ability.
I think they are 10k over priced though, maybe 15k over priced, the base model comes un just under 50k plus on roads, i know its aimed at the X5, the Merc and Volvo AWD but they would sell heaps more if it were aimed at the level below, or fit it with low range, now that would be cool.

me thinks they may be overpriced based on past warranty claim experiences :P

I added this to 4wd central the other night aswell, it also has a 5 star NCAP rating so its safe to. :D

Agreed way over priced.
was considering one but at 65 k + not likly rather spend 65 on new sedan.:D

Apparently they are having the official launch of the new Freelander tomorrow at Salt resort at Kingscliff if anyone is interested.

It's a tough job but someone has to drive these new Freelanders :cool:.
