Does any body know if these bolts are rated / high tensile?

And what markings indicate that they are?

thanks in advance.

Not the second one, that has Unified (US) marking). See http://www.unified-eng.com/scitech/bolt/boltmarks.html - it has a higher rating than ISO 8.8

funny but with the radial markings without taking the pic to work and comparing it to the chart Id have said its an imperial bolt with a grade of 8 or 10 depending on the thread size

The one on the left is a metric class 8.8, and the one on the right is an American National (NF, NC, NS, etc.) grade 8.

what one on the left im only seeing the one with the * pattern of lines

There are two pics. One bolt has 8.8 (metric grade 8), the other has the 6 radial lines (American National grade 8)

not when i was looking!
that why ive only commented on 1 ron:p

and yes the second pic is of an imperial bolt of the grade 8 composition!
now if i bring out my telliscope i can give you the chemical equasion for the time and space disconfigerator!

sorry blk i had to do it:wasntme:

ok got them both now.. both bolts are grade 8 the first metric and the second imperial....

and your telescope would be useless for identifying the chemical equation for the space time disconfigurator as a space time disconfigurator is a device fitted to a tardis that provides the portaling effect of the main enterance doors, Its actually the critical part missing from big red so I can carry all my gear all the time and still have room for the wifes shopping.....

As its a device consisting of many smaller parts it doesnt have A chemical equation it has many (not even counting the metaphysical quantam physics equations involved in determining its actual functional effects in relation to our plane of existance in the space time continuem) chemical componants. As such while a telescope would be handy for identifying the part from a long distance a more practical device for identifying its chemical constistancy and equations would be the scanning electron microscope. Id let you borrow mine but it was in big red when My space time disconfiguator went missing which lead to the dissaperance of all the items stored in the non real space it generates when it was connected and functioning.

If you know someone selling a space time configurator thats still in working order Id appreciate their contact details. Ive tried the BBC but they wish to hang onto the ones from the Doctors and the Masters Tardis's.

In a pinch I could probabley make do with a portal generator or one of ACME's portable holes that you see Wile E. Coyote using but that wont bring back my missing equipment and Im a little concerned that using one of them might have the same effect on my missing gear as writing over part of the compressed file that Drive space has on the data stored in the compressed volume.

the fact that you have recognised that it is a fact would lead me to ask why you would want to wager on a fact :eek::eek::eek:

willvine,
- Yes they both are high tensile
The question was answered early on the first page!!
- Nice distraction / diversion guys(gals)... it is the weekend after all.
