Got in the car this morning and a strange light staying on.
It only comes on then i turn the lights on.
It is below the glow plug light and to the right of the oil light.
It is orange and looks like a thermometer?
i haven't driven car for about a week or so since the Pac pines trip?
What should i be looking for?
Cheers thanks for your help

that'd be the transmission oil temperature light, then.
normally it'd mean that the gearbox oil is too hot, but since you say it only comes on with the headlights, I suspect it could be an electrical connection causing it to come on. But that's as far as I'll guess!

comes on before the car has started. so it must be a wiring short then.

:) Hi wazza, the light you are talking about is the warning light for the transmission oil temperature, you may have a short,it senses either the main gearbox or transfer
it will also illuminate as a bulb check when the handbrake level is applied with the starter switch turned to position ll......regards keith:angel:

Check if the lead is still attached to the sensor.
Its all to do with circuits.
Cheers.
