just did a 2" lift on my 95 disco v8 used OME system, raised it 3" from what it was. the wife needs a ladder to get in now. has heavy duty springs all round. rear is a bit stiff when empty but good with a bit of weight in the back.

Did you have to do caster correction with this kit?

Ride pro, I love it, smooth ride, great shocks but a little bit of a trade off between load carrying and comfort on the rear springs.

With the tent on and all the gear in the back she still squats a little bit but isnt bad when empty.

Handles great when you have all your tyres pumped up lol.

All I think are much the same, just minor differences in shocks and spring rates.

I prefer to be able to put in some poly airs and still have a reasonable ride when empty rather than going really solid at the rear.

The Ride pro come with Big bore shocks and steering damper and they work real well.

Have fun, next step is the 235 85 16's, they look skinny but they work really well and you dont have to modify bugger all.

You wouldnt need caster correction for either OME or Ridepro as they are technically only a 2" lift and that is measured from the dry hight when new (or the published dry hight) so angles should be within tolerances.

Mine doesnt wander any more than it used to so I know the RP you dont need it.

I went pedders track rider 2" and tuff dog foam cell shocks. Did landcruiser mountain park the other weekend gave great ride and still great articulation.

if its an auto definitely no, can cause vibrations. if its manual, ome will tell you that you need it, but most people on this forum say that you don't need it.

Hmm thats interesting I can honestly say with mine which is an auto I have had no problems what so ever. But the steering is a little bit twitchy now so I am going to put the caser corrected arms on the old girl when I get around to it.

Cheers Blythe

Got quoted $1200 today, supply only. That was for 4 shocks and 4 springs. Mine is a manual, but I will see what the steering is like first before looking at the castor adjustment.
Thanks for the advice guys.

Is the car long-term? Invest in something better, konis will ride very well and last.

That seems a bit steep if it's OME, I only paid $1385.00 fitted with a wheel alignment. And that was from ARB.

I have an OME set on a V8 auto and have found it a great setup, I have had no problems and found it improved handling and gives a good lift.

I paid $320 del. for Lovells 2" lift springs, so unless your shocks are either Bilstiens or Koni's, then I think your Supply only price is a bit steep, what brand parts did you get that price on, Regards Frank.

The quote was for OME shocks and springs, from Central 4x4 here in Perth. I am going to call ARB and see what they can quote.

Lovells are cheapest at $140 a pair of 2 inch springs however dont expect any higher as the price then goes to $320 a pair
