hi all.

will be purchasing a 95ish tdi discovery in the next couple of months. what mods should i consider to enhance its offroad capability (nothing to extreme). i just need to make sure that i can go where an 60 and 80 series cruiser can.

Simplist mods out there a tank of diesel and decent tyres and you'll be embarassing Toyo's before you know it.

Gday and welcome to the Disco 1 club lol.

First things first, 2" suspention lift and 235 85 16 tyres and trim your rear guards.

This gives you plenty of ground clearance and diff clearance and is within legal limits.

Then the usual snorkle, bullbar, winch from Aldi good set of driving lights because 95 disco light suck.

The best thing you could fit so it will go where an 80 or 60 series wouldnt be able to go is lockers, Maxi's I hear are the better of the ones available but quite a few guys run ARB air lockers with very little trouble but being a 95 I would recomend the maxi axels as I thnk that the axels in Discos are meant to be made of plado and break pretty quick with lockers but as I dont have them yet I cant say from experience.

Have a look in the High country hut section photo's for a white Disco 1 with a roof top tent, that is mine with 40mm Ridepro suspention and 235 85 16 BFG AT's and it does pretty well but Im wanting lockers badly.

Good luck Damo

Ha Ha, to go anywhere the TOYota's go just hook the both of them to the back of the landy with a tow strap then drive where ever you feel like :p
