Drove back home today - 12 hours to do just under 1000km including a stop for lunch at Armidale and a couple of other stops for a few minutes. No problems, traffic not too bad at all. Bit damp at home, been about an inch while I was away.

Many thanks for the hospitality of assorted members round Caboolture, enjoyed both the lunch and the evening with Rob.

Good to hear that you got back in one piece and the old girl didn't miss a beat. Very nice to catch up with you.

Saw a few Defenders on the way - they all waved back. Saw one S3 parked by the road in Woodford, but they weren't looking at me, saw lots of Discos - and not one waved back!

I had the same problem when in my series III - Disco's were only a year or two old then and all I got was snooty looks. These days I bet they're just envious:D ...as I am:p But the princess must have a comfortable throne...

One day. One day I'll get a 110.

G'day JDNSW :)

Glad that you returned home without any problems, but then I didn't expect you to, it's a 110 and a 4BD1 so what would stop it , only the lack of water/oil would have slowed your progress and I bet you had both on board:D

cheers
