Hi All
The fuel block or regulator is leaking on the Disco my question is is it repairable or do you go out and buy a new one at approximately $400

There was a lenghty thread on this a few months back - might have been MarknDeb - but not sure, do a search on fuel pressure regulators - you may get some info

Hi All
I have just finished reading the thread most enlightening may have a go at fixing it myself after reading it better than spending $400 on a new one. Now the fuel pump is starting to scream.

Hi Doug.
I helped a mate do his Disco fuel pump and when installing the new one we found it much easier to marry the 2 sealing rings (one in top of the tank and the other on the new pump) together before putting the pump in and locking it down.
Doing it the other way and leaving the seal on the pump and attempting to press the 2 together required a lot of downward force before the locking ring would go on enough to be turned.
Hope that helps if you have to change it.
Alan.

Hi All
Just finished reading the threads again this morning and have decided to bight the bullet and replace the fuel regulator have ordered it from Karcraft should be here in the next couple of days. As for the fuel pump I will wait and see what it is like after the regulator has been changed. I have read in one of The RR Club mags that a pump out of a ED Falcon V8 will fit. Will also check with the person who owns that Disco if it is still a success.

Hi All
Just finished fitting the new fuel regulator this afternoon if it goes again I will pay for someone to fit it took me most of the day to do. Just so awkward to do and to get to my hands are not very big but I have skin off everywhere. But all finished now.

Good to hear it's fixed. I wonder why the Land Rover engineers designed the silly thing to go where it is.
Surely it's only a fuel regulator and could have been put somewhere else?
