Hi All
I was hopping a few of us can get together and ask Ladas very nicely if he can create this thing to raise our spares tyres up to fit larger tyers with out having to buy a wheel carrier
I know it peed me off driving on 35's and having 32's as a spare on the pootrol
so all together now "excuse me Mr Ladas can you see if the thingy is doable please" ;)

Yep easy to do, but I would need an acurate template of the existing fitting - okay if it's a D2 - I have one of those, and I would need an acurate template of the holes in the wheel.
You supply them - I can make the adaptor.

Yes if it's for a D2 then I have all the info here, but if it was for a D1 or Defender then I would need the measurements

That D2 rear wheel carrier is reversable, unbolt it turn it over re-drill the centre holes in the carrier and re-install.
A 265/75 will then fit,Ken just did it on his D2.
In my D2 I made a proper bumper from steel,I droped the finished height to allow fitting of 235/85 tyres without reversing the carrier.

Another alternative is to reverse the existing wheel carrier. The centre holes need to be re-drilled on the carrier and a notch ground out of the LH top to accommodate the wiper arm (not essential but allows the wiper to return to it's original position which looks more stock and is neater)
If you want one of those brackets, I have one lying around that I no longer use - pm me if interested.
Cheers,
