G'day.

Someone may know but I am after a brake proportioning valve for my 76 Rangie project and it's leaking through the switch. Can you just buy a new switch or do you need to buy the whole bloody thing as per nornal for Land Rover ???

TIA

Thanks. 81's are both imperial and metric (changed halfway through), should have it written on the booster (yellow sticker to say weather it is or not).

Let me know, Trav

Just went through this exercise. I thought just change the switch to find it still leaked. The valve is a rod with 2 seals seperating the front and rear brake systems. When one system fails it pushes the rod over activating the switch. If it leaks it is the seals on the rod that have perished. Change the unit complete.

Thought so, I was hoping to cut a corner but it's not worth it especialy with brakes.

I have located a couple of good second hand ones. The one on evil-bay I have inquired about and I haven't got a response as yet in regards to either it beuing imperial or metric.
