G'Day,
Ooopss, wrong Forum, i thoought i was in Tech.......Sorry, you know night shift
When our Disco (300TDi) starts up when cold there is a terrible rattle from the front end, after a short time driving (1-2km) its go's. Sounds like a kind of metal rattle.......
Im not really sure what bearing it is or if its air con side of things or alt side or even water pump......
Whats the best way to try and find which may by on its way out?
Im thinking of taking the AC belt off and start from there, but could it be the water pump?
The belt also makes the normal noise, but I just tab a bit of vas on the side's of the belt now & then  and that fixes that, but there is still that rattle from the front, and I noted that the belt dance's & skips around which seems to makes the rattle worse, any ideas please?
