I downloaded Tracks4Australia but what do I do now? I tried to open the files with mapsource but it told me the file (img) was unrecognised. Is the Tracks4Australia a stand alone program or just a bunch of maps. Don't know what to do to use it. AAAAARRRRR Stupid computer, plug and play my ar#se, why is nothing easy, computers are like women no-one understands them!????
Whew, I feel better, can anyone help?

Instructions on using Mapsource with it are here (http://www.gpsoz.com.au/tracks4australia/getting_started.htm).

As per the instructions, you don't "open" the maps, but point Mapsource to them...it was quite simple but not exactly intuitive if I remember correctly. I don't have my GPS or PC with Mapsource here with me so can't give you step-by-step, I'm afraid.

Thanks for that...got it working now. Amazing what happens when you read the instructions:blush: If I load these maps into my garmin76, will I lose the maps currently in the unit? Obviously I'm new to this!

Dunno, 'cos I've not done that....but, you should be able to pull the maps that are in it down to yoru PC to keep them, and unless the 76 has lots of memory (My 60CS didn't) you'll need all your spece to get the new ones in anyway.

You should have gotten a CD of all the maps etc that are already loaded on the unit.

When you load tracks4aus it writes over the maps loaded on already, but you should be able to load the originals back on whenever you want to.
