Was a good day indeed. Good company, sunshine, the right tides, and a heap of fish. The greenies stay calm, those fish were all well above legal and we returned most of the day's catch unharmed.

Was lucky that bolts and stickman never kept any of their fish..there was a fisheries bloke checking size limits at the boat ramp as we left:eek:

Was a great morning on the water, could not have asked for better weather, company was not bad either :p

Definately out fished by Louis and Camo, but thats the way the cookie crumbled on the day. Just ask Louis though which prime locations he caught all his fish (but dont tell them Louis its a secret ;) )

Sign me up for the next trip, might even drag the beast out if she is back on the water by then (off the road more then the disco )

Louis and Camo had a good run on the fishing where Stickman and kept having to throw them back although some of them I'm sure were pan size:(. Oh well that will keep till next time;)

Sign me up for the next trip ---- with stickman's boat in the water we should be able to have at least 8 members fishing.:D

had a great day out..very relaxing

Stikman's boat sounds like it can hold a few people aswell..if the fish don't bite we should just go to Tiplers and drink beer for the day:p

Capacity of 10 from memory but that would be cosy (Also not sure of the regs in Qld on capacity). 6 Easy cruising, 4 max fishing.

Bring on summer as there appears to be a few ski boats in the club, could be some nice days on the water

might have to get the canoes down from the roof and do a club run to hinze for a little bass fun, got two so can have a foursome, anyone else got a hinze compatable boat, no petrol, only electric or paddle

Mums got a double kayak that i could fish out off. Paddle power just seems so difficult though :p

well, i don't have to worry about that, electric for me, also have outriggers for both canoes, so no tipover problem.
both are 16ft canadian, room for two blokes and one child.
[for bait], otherwise uses up too much room for the fishing box and the beer.

mmmm fishing, I think its been about 15 years since our boats been near the water, might have to try and get it ready for summer, we always used to launch it from runaway bay marina, actually i think we pretty much only ever used it at xmas time and had it moored there while we stayed in our unit at surfers..unit long gone

Yep, count me in for the Hinze expedition as well, have got a kayak that needs a bit of fresh water to clean the spiders and dust off....

We'll need to organize that properly as you'll need a permit to fish there.

Nothing wrong with a bass or saratoga - especially on fly :)

can buy permits at the shop at the wall

True, but I normally go in from the Mudgeeraba side - lovely quiet water up there and have caught a few bass there before.
Just if you go past a municipality office, pop in and get a permit - saves some time later (and as you will know - my diesel fender needs all the time it can get) :D

only joking

So we have 4 power boats now with 2 people in each - 3 at a push (comfort of fishing) which means we could take 8 - 12 members fishing on the next fishing trip.:D.

Now about hinze - I opt to go with Harry (electric motor and no paddeling) not into having exercise to get somewhere and then have to fish and then paddel home  mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I with Harry :p;) go the electric motors.

Count me in if there is a spare seat on a boat.

A year or two ago Megan Myself and another mate took the kayaks upto the back off noosa there and spent a week Kayaking and 4wding int he state forests and play areas there.

Was alot of fun. Could be a club trip up that way.

Cheers

louis, all the back ways into hinze have been sealed off, can only go onto water from the ramps each end of the wall, and i hear there is wall work happening so the road across the wall may be closed.
any boats around?
