Just what we needed in the middle of cooking dinner the gas supply fails :mad:. Just as well we have the fall back of the camping gear :). Looks like dinner will just take a bit longer.

I used to hate that when I lived out in Yarra Junction....the gas man would come and replace my cylinders, but he wouldn't bother lighting the hot water again. Man that peed me off!:mad::mad:
Especially bad in the winter!:D:D:D

If only it was that simple - we are on mains gas for cooking and (unfortunately) heating. Could be an early to bed tonight :D:D

Looks like someone shut the supply off. When the gas crisis hit in 1998 the gas & fuel guys put everyone on the road and shut down thousands of commercial users by noon. If there is no gas pressure in the line then it can "go negative" and draw in air when you turn on the oven.
That you don't want, coz then you have a possible explosive situation. I've seen pics of a whole street in Brazil that looked like the Luftwaffe had been at it for hours, and it was a street mains that had drawn in air and then ignited.:o
I'd go ask the neighbours- after checking your main valve.

I asked the missus to order a two new bottles last month, she forgot. It's 1c tonight, I bet she wont forget tommorow.
