G'day all,
Some of you might remember a previous thread where I asked about a noise from my Gearbox/Transfer Case :eek: well here I have a related question after taking it to a mechanic...
Question: Took my V8i Discovery (1996) to a mechanical mob in SA and they said that a crunching noise from the Transfer Case when in neutral and the Gearbox is in gear is caused from normal where and is not a problem - IS THIS SO?
Does every Discovery with 170,000kms or more on the clock have this noise?
They also said that the whine I have in gear is from that main baring in the clutch and not related to the Transfer Case crunch noise - I'm still not convinced!!
