After a good start at work today, the financial manager rings me a states the Disco is making weard noises from under the car, even with the car not running and keys out of ignition.
I fly home thinking, it must be last nights wine. But no it wasnt.
PHUT PHUT PHUT constantly.
Rang Land Rover Toowoomba, OH Well, definatly sound s like your SLS air pump, Take the fuse out and get it over here asap, as long as the Suspension is still up.Yep looks normal to me.
Is this going to be exy, or what.L/R Toowoomba reckon a number of things, possible pin whole in air bag, or many other faults.
Please be cheap, any thoughts guys.:(

okay l will be cheap how cheap do you want to me to be
first see qld airbag man he sells alternative air bags to land rover ones, made by same company jsut no logo difference in proce when l did my 93 rangerover bags in 2005 was air bag man $200 bag land rover $700 bag
air pump compressor plenty of alternatives to land rover
air suspenison sensors had the front ones replaced in 2006 l think from m emory $300 apiece
price to go range rover 93 from air suspension to coils $2,400
so far still in front remaining on air suspension

Once on returning from walking up bluff knoll in WA, I was rather disappointed to be greated at the dock by a listing disco. On start up she gallantly rose to the challege but on the way home slowly listed to port again untill the hull rested on the bottom if you get my drift and we jolted all the way home, losing our port indicator through bumping on the way!
Investigation revealed the SLS compressor under the black lunch box on the passengers side had a coating of fine mud. I cleaned it off and found that the mud had caused the tabs on a valve cover to lift and spring open. Cleaned and reassembled and blue blistering barnacles all was plain sailing once more!
I would be surprised if your car was not "sunken" if there was an air leak, Mine did, the compressor seemed to cut out maybe by getting too hot?
Have fun,
"its never over in [i think they mean "with"] a rover"!!
