300TDi Turbo Model & Gen info?

G'Day All,
Just wondering if you can tell us what model and Brand of Turbo is in our 98 Disco please?

Also Ive been wanting to read up on turbos for a while, and after talking to a workmate I thought I would do just that.....So does anybody know of a good site where I can read up on Turbos mainly to do with Diesel's, just basic stuff ie how, why,when etc

My 98 fender has Garret cast into the housing.From memory they are T5's. Pat

The turbochargers fitted to 200 and 300 Tdi engines were Garrett T25 models.

actually, they are different model Garretts.

200Tdi is a T25 housing, but the specific model is listed as TB024, turbo code 465171-0002. This specifies the specific 'trim' level of the turbo.

300Tdi is a T250-04, code 452055-0004
