The F2 was reviewed in the Drive section of the Sydney Morning Herald this morning. Not sure how many other syndicated papers this will appear in.

Anyway, I'd rate it as a very positive review. The F2 got 4 out of 5 stars. They get banging on about unreliability in surveys, and previous models, but the car itself appears to drive well, go well everywhere, & its well laid out & appointed. No reference anywhere to fit & finish issues.

The F2 does appear to be a winner.

They get banging on about unreliability in surveys, and previous models,

In my opinion, the Freelander 2 should be compared to the Discovery 3 as far as build quality and potential reliability are conerned. They look to be at least as well made, and our experiences with Discovery 3s are that they are near on 100% reliable.

Why you should compare the reliablilty of any vehicle to a previous model is beyond me. The Freo 1 and 2 share no components whatsoever, the 2 is an all new car.

This is good news. I think it will take Land Rover along time in the eyes of the general public to shed the unreliablity tag. Lets hope it happens sooner rather than later. However with the likes of the D3 and F2 by the sound of thinks they might be ( Land Rover ) about to turn the corner in this department.
