As some may know, approximately 3 months ago partner and I invested in an 85 v8 110. Glad to say, that after about 2.5 months of being off the road I can cheerfully say that it's back on, with vastly fewer leaks. Mind you, most of it's down time was due to work uptime, and the fact that Matt (my other half) and I have been working or dealing with other issues non-stop. In the end I cracked it, took it into my workshop and got a hand! :o Yes lazy lazy me. Depressingly, I feel as though the repairs are only part way there...Thus far we've done rear wheel cylinders and shoes, front and rear diff pinion seals, front crank seal, gearbox output shaft seal and transfer output seal...I've spent a good few hours attacking the messes of wiring that were visible and sorting those out but I've still got quite a way to go. I need to change the engine mounts which isn't a big issue.
I do need a bit of help though...Next on the list of things to fix is the vent controls. My heat adjustment door does not operate...which is fine at the moment, since the heat is well desired...but come summer I doubt I'll be much impressed. So the questions are, where is the blend door and how do I access it?
