fired up GREENY today and got a
"SYSTEM FAILED CPU TEST"
vocal message.
no bios,
no nothing.

I havent played with this CPU for a few years now and the last time I remember thinking as another little bit of plastic broke off the spring retainer clip "thats about the last time I can do that".


so I am hesitant to remove the cpu----

the web tells me its everything from power supply to video card,,
it IS only a 300w psu,, but its run this PC fine for years,,
and it has a nice green fan:angel:

its an ASUS A7V333 with an XP1700,,




scared the crap out of me the first time the "talking Post" talked!!!

they will do that iif last boot failed or if it locked up and you just used the power button to turn it off..

the power supply may have taken a touchup from a brownout or surge you got a multimeter?
