G'day All,
I'm not getting Wide Open Throttle on my SIIA 186 conversion - this explains the highway speed issue I've complained about on here before! The linkage is a shambles and is probably beyond redemption (too convoluted and worn). I'm thinking of converting to a cable, but as this car will be made original at some point in the future I dont want to bodgy up a cable to the pedal. Has anyone tried fitting a cable between the linkage (where it terminates on the LHS inner guard) and the carby? I'm thinking a short cable from a motorbike, with appropriate brackets, may do the trick - but I'm keen to see what others have done.
