G'day,
Well, what seems an eternity has finally ended. From walking car yards (local and interstate) and trolling for months over all the Internet car sale sites, I find a suitable Landie at my local Land Rover Mechanics. A 99 Defender ex farm car, 230K klms, lots of extras including enough topsoil, hay and dogs hair to cover a small yard.
Many thanks to AULRO, :D
by reading all the different threads I was able to gain a wealth of knowledge/others experiences, enough to make an informed decision when it came down to three very good vehicles to choose from.
Tim (Landrovers Only) informed me of the history of the vehicles’ servicing and modifications, who needs log books.
I’ll post some photos of the mods and condition of the vehicle on the weekend. I'm sure I'm going to have lots of questions to ask later.
Regards
