New 2.4 Diesel

has anyone driven or had feed back on the new defender as i am thinking of buying one i know the will be in AUS: end of this year :D

Too much to say about it generally but it does drive very well and the new seats are comfortable.

In regard to the 2.4 ford motor, have been talking to a diesel pump specialist, the very best in NSW, and his opinion is the pumps are in the same catogery as the zd30 3.0L nissan motor, in other words Rat Chit:eek::eek::eek:

Not being cocky, but there is some true horror stories out there, in regard to the latest pumps, on some of these common rail engines.

The only ones I have heard have been related to contaminated fuel. Mind you, I don't hang out with any specialised diesel mechanics...:p

Actually, that last link I sent wasn't really helpful. That was just the first topic that mentioned the new defender and the word Transit.
