Steering box leak / noise Defender

HI,

Firts of all, yes I did a search.

My defender is leaking oil from the steering box. It also has lately developed a habit of making a weird kind of noise when turning slowly, or when stopped. The noise sounds like it is trying to "fart" for want of a better word. What could the problem be?

Steering seems tight, everything seems OK except this problem with the box.

is it leaking from the top of the box ur the bottom of the box

yeah, maybe some ant-acid might help

had a similar thing recently but my box isnt leaking, had been doing a lot of dusty driving and it was the steering damper making the farting noise which is brand new, a squirt of Lanotec fixed it.
