Have just noticed within the last week or so third gear has been a tad harder to select:eek:. Its been bloody freezin in the mornings around here, whether thats got anything to do with it, NAH! (thinking as i type) all other gears are fine. Double shuffling clutch its ok, or when its really Warmed up. Feels like something getting in the way in the selector department, Maybe:confused:

Any thoughts appreciated.

Cheers Sumo:D

if the gear is crunching it's the syncro which is box out, if the gate is blocking it's most likly the 3/4 bias that needs adjusting as someone mentioned, on a defender you need to pull up the rubber boot around the 'turret' at the bottom of the gearstick and by adjusting the screws up and down you can lean the gear stick left and right to get it to line up with the 3/4 gate.

The way of knowing which way to go is to drive the vehicle but instead of letting the gearstick go where it wants to go try holding it a little to the left and then a little to the right, one way or the other it will drop in nicer, adjust accordingly.
