Temp Gauges question

Sorry as i have posted this question on another thread. but would like to find an answer asap. anyone know any info about these ? good ?? Bad ?? http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQsassZjimj5862
Is there any reason the wouldnt work on a Td5 ??
would anything else need to be fitted in order for this to work on the motor ??

personally I'g gp the 'enginesaver' alarm that fits into the radiator hose and ativates when coolant itself is lost. mine works great. have never heard of these but the idea that it works on block temp suggests that some damage may be done before it actually goes off whereas he other goes off as soon as coolant is lost.:D

i Think this one would tell if the etc. oil cooler was to go. i think ill get one but ill probably get a enginesaver also later.

I considered that one but the motor can overheat without losing coolant. Mine overheated due to the radiator core being blocked (externally) with mud (my fault). Still plenty of coolant in there. Ideally you need a proper temp gauge.

I have the "enginesaver" low-coolant alarm as well as an EGT monitor - both of which are available from sponsors of this site (though i don't have their web addresses right now - do a search of the forum and you will find the links).

I am happy that the combination keeps me well apprised of any problems when the engine is running.
