landyfromanuthaland has had some cardiac problems and is in ICU at Calvary Hospital, 2nd Level ICU. His real name is Andrew Cox. His wife Maryanne says that he would be encouraged by visitors and would like to meet some of the guys from aulro.

So if any of you Canberra lads would like to pay him a visit, I'm sure it would be appreciated. I don't know Andrew personally, but I was corresponding with him about some parts, when his wife replied to my emails with the news. I offered to mention it on the site, if they thought visitors talking Land Rovers would break the drudgery of the ICU, and she emailed back to say that it would be appreciated.

I'm in Melbourne, so I don't know the hospital or it's visiting hours.

If anyone wants to send a message, I suppose you can email or PM him and his wife can pass the messages on.

Their email is mezandy@bigpond.com

A bag of grapes is the traditional hospital visitors gift. Grapes are easier to handle in a hospital bed if they are bottled, but still can be presented in the normal Aussie brown paper bag as used in parks and at masked tastings..

Not good news, I wondered why he went quiet. Pretty good excuse. A better one to hear was he went on a Holiday..

went into the hospital this afternoon to pay a personal visit to Andrew...I have never met him personally but knew he was local boy..and as i pass the hospital quite a lot on my various errands around canberra thought it would be good to pass on the best wishes of the forum members ..i made a little card ( well..my son did ! :p) with a get well message from the forum members and also gave him some good old Land rover mags to pass a bit of time..He is in reasonably good spirits and hopes to be on the mend within the next week..I will try and pop in again during the week if i can ..
cheers
Disco Pom..

UPDATE

I got an email from his wife, saying that Andrew is being moved from ICU to 5th Floor WEST at Calvary Hospital, and to let the forum know, as some had planned to visit.

Good to hear he's out of ICU.

Sorry to hear about Andy, I thought he went quiet pretty quick and I also know what its like to be stuck in ICU.

I also have a heart problem and have sent copius hours in hossy from time to time but I must be one of the lucky ones as they got mine under control quickly but it is as scarey as hell when it happens but it is amazing what they can do these days so heres hoping they can get him under control and stable.

If anyone goes in, give him mine and Mrs Mcrovers best wishes.
