Distributor Question

Hi,

I have a 109 ex army LWB with the original engine.

I am wanting to upgrade to electronic ignition.

But I need to identify the model of the distributor.

It has Lucas stamped on the casing and it has the vacuum advance.

But no other features to identify it.

Apparently there are about 2 or three kinds of dizzy.

And I need to know the right one before I buy the

kit.

On the side of the Lucas Dist, there will be a part No stamped in to it, usually a 6 digit No but could be 9 digit, stamped on a flat face below the cap on the side of the body,then it would be worth giving Kevin Baker at K.B.Spares a call on (07) 54 944 221 he is the Lucas man that would know the go.

What sorta after market ignition are you going to use on it the crane fire ball stuff works well for me have you looked at this one as it comes in a kit that will fit just about any dizzy :D:D:D

I was thinking of Pertronix.

Abit pricey, but my father has a trade discount a coventrys.
apparently they are a distibutor in AUS for them.
