G'day all, well after being together for 6 years and having our 6 year anniversary since we met, I have popped the question and now looks like I will become a married man :D:D. Thanks to Camo and Josh for their recommendations for a "fancy" place to go for dinner even though they werent aware of what I was doing.
So at Vanitas at Palazzo Versace before entree and only half a glass of Boags, I asked if my "partner" would become my wife and she said yes. Whoo hoo leverage to get the bull bar ;). No just kidding....kinda of :D.
It was great for me, even though I have been married previously I have never actually asked someone to marry me ( long story), so albeit a little nervous, it all went down well. Finally I dont have to keep using "partner" and feeling I have to explain that Im not gay .....................not thats there anything wrong with being gay :). So look out for an engagement party soon  and of course the children are very excited :)
Regards
Stevo

Wish I had known I would of contacted some previous work mates to throw in some thing extra for your night. They certainly know how to look after people.

Thanks for all your well wishes and comments, I figured that since we had done the "have a child" "buy a house" "live together" "amalgamate 3 other children together" that marriage had to come next :D. Now to go and buy a ring together...sshhhhaaaacccchhhiiiinnnggg:o. Of course I dont need a ring but a new winch bar would do nicely , already have the rear Kaymar bar on order, just hope she doesnt start acting like a wife . Thanks again from both of us

CONGRATES STEVO ---- You kept that bloody quiet..... about time you joined the rest of us --- you cant be happy or your life Had to keep it quiet, especially with the likes of you....old loose lips sinking ships and all :p:p
Now how's the ring deal working? Dollar for dollar with your accessories or what? Hmm funny feeling that she is out with her sis and mum atm as she was going to tell them face to face at a shopping centre, so I am betting she will be coming back with a list . She has grilled me on the cost of the rear bar, I just keep saying $2000 and something . As I was saying to Mick earlier I was showing her what the rear bar/wheel carrier would look like and she pointed out the bull bar and said shouldnt I have one of those as well :D

1 month's wages is the usual for the ring, isn't it?
Don't you wish now that you proposed back in the black days when the new venture was just starting?

Don't you wish now that you proposed back in the black days when the new venture was just starting? Yeah thanks for that :p, I hope she doesnt read that as the ol 1mths wage hasnt arisen yet:eek:, might have to give myself a pay decrease for a short while :D. So far I have managed to keep it with equal footing with my new rear bar in terms of $$$, I guess I will know when I see her later today as to what kind of damage I am looking at :o

You realise Steve, that by this definition, the new rear bar will be your wedding ring - meaning that once you have it, you cant ever get rid of the Disco...;)
Just for your info - I bought "the" ring in Hong Kong for the right price - when we eventually got home after our 'pre-honeymoon' the ring was valued at 4 times what I paid for it - more than enough $$$ to pay for the 2 weeks we spent in Asia......I'm sure you get my drift;)
just a thought......

He he...
A nice shiny 1 carat jobbie,
much loved by the wearer,
and we had a great holiday,
instead of paying the local 'jewellers',
so they kinda paid for our holiday,
including many nights in some very flash hotels...
Worked for me Stevo, cant beat a good trip around Asia, (for nix).
