G'day guys,

Just after the standard wheel diameter for the Defender 200? I understand it to be 32''?

Am about to slide a set of 32"x10.5R15 BF Muds on....was going the 33's but heard it will not like it on the highway on hills....as l do a lot of heavy towing this would not be good for me!!!

Cheers,

Mike

235/85/16 are just under 32" from memory ...

you can work it out.

calcualte sidewall height = 85% of 235 mm = 199.75 mm
convert that to inches = 7.864173 inches = height of one sidewall
double that ( 2 sidewalls ) = 15.72835 inches
add that to the wheel diameter
16" + 15.7285" = 31.7285" total diameter

( er- i think )

33" on a TD5 Defender should be Ok ....but what do i know i am only a Disco owner ( at the moment )

Yep - 32". 7.50x16 is mathematically 31" but all 7.50's are really 32".

I could barely notice the difference when I had 33's on my 110.
