If anyone knows the whereabouts of a former member "Icefyre" his car was abandoned 2 weeks ago at the Tugan merge project. It now has no wheels and I imagine shortly will be burnt etc.

I have tried to contact him but no response.

Yep we passed it on the way to Crystal Creek, was intact then. One may assume he has left it to its fate for it to have been there for so long. Shame, was a nice D2,

so when was the last time anyone saw him?

Good point maybe someone in the club with his contact details should just give him a courtesy call and enquire dose he need a hand with it.
Are you sure its his ?.

Saw it there this morning and wondered at the time if it was someone from here.

Looks pretty sad sitting on its belly.

i have tried to call a few times over the last 2 or so weeks.

I know the vehicle was for sale about 3 weeks ago and a mate did go to have a look at it but didnt hear back from icefyre.

Hope all is ok

I have tried to call him and also mentioned it to Wazza who used to have regular contact with him but has not heard from him in a couple of weeks either. It still had wheels yesterday when we drove past in the morning so it must have been last night that they went. Not much else we can do it guess.

Just a question how long has he had his current Avatar for?

By current are you refering to "Icefyre"? If so it has been as long as i have known him, so about a year give or take a few months. Has he changed it?

I think someone should go around to his address and check out if he is ok.

Sorry, misread your post as his login but i know remember what the avator is. I think he changed this when he left the Gold Coast Club. I have checked with Outlaw and the club does not have a home number or address, only the mobile i have already tried. Sorry.

Someone should go get the vehicle on a trailer before anything else happens to it

Contact the police regarding it first and don't touch it.

hey just got a call from Wazza who went to Icefyre's house this morning... seems he had a mild heart attack and was in hospital... he'd left it down there as his oil light came on then had the problems and had his g/f drive him to hospital.

He went to pick it up yesterday and found it with no wheels so organising insurance.

Oh and that house fire at Gilston wasn't his place but only a street over.

What lowlife scum..... someone should notify the local paper up there - they may be able to rally round the 4x4 places and get some wheels n tyres for him......

a current affair maybe?

You are kidding me......a heart attack:eek::eek: Poor bugger, I assume he okay albeit in a state of shock? Well, at least we now know what happened to him and can stop wondering.

Hope the insurance sorts him out as with no wheels and probably some other damage you would assume, you would be pretty hacked off.

Good woork Wazza;)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this morning noticed the drivers window was smashed. Must have happened last night cos it wasnt like that yesterday morning.

Not to be cynical, and I hope the story reads true, but there is a reason he is a) an ex member and b) my partner had open heart surgery and was in and out of hospital in a week. That car has been sitting on the side of the road for at least a good 3 weeks. How many people here would leave their car on the side of the road for that long?? At worst you would have someone come and get it, or have it towed or something, not sit there leaving it for the vultures. So lets not get all fired up with rallys', going to newspapers etc.

well i did go and see him this morning. He isn't looking that well.

He said it happened on friday night 2 weeks ago. isn't that the night before you guys went to crystal creek.

He has been in hospital for over a week or more. I cant see it being a insurance job as he has a buyer lined up for it.

An as for being an ex member doesn't mean he still isn't a friend.

Anyway i think it is legit. if u wanted it trashed there is far better places to leave it.

Cheers

As I said, I hope it all stacks up though doesnt ring true, vehicle has been there for at least 3 weeks, I have seen it there prior to Crystal Creek, if it were me, first thing would be organising a mate to go get it, or notify or something.....at the very least of what had occured, moreso if a buyer was lined up.

stevo is correct i have seen it there well before the creek trip, i didn't recognise it but thought it was one of the road construction workers, as it was parked where i thought only they could go.
having said that i am sorry to hear he's crook, especially a heart condition, if it hasn't been moved by now and the thing has already been burged then someone should get a flat top under it promptly - and it won't need wheels to get picked up, those tilt tray tow trucks have big winches, and dragging it up without wheels won't do much damage, might be cheaper than finding it burnt in the morning.

Well either a tilt tray took it or someone else did. Very very strange indeed;)

It has been taken by the police to be finger printed and then the insurance company to assess the damage.
