Gday Guys
Pulling the inlet manifold off and then removed the carb noticed a sleeve in the inlet of the manifold. just wandering if this is to help with atomising the fuel? If not what is the purpose?
Thanks

Yes, they all have that. Yes, I believe it's to help atomise. No point having too big a hole there because it will just slow down the airflow. It also helps to locate the carby.

G'day Bazz67 :)
That is the reducing seal and air seal sleeve, you would have a Zenith Carby as that fits between the Manifold and the Zenith 90 Degree adapter plate, DON'T Forget to renew the gaskets, or they will suck air between the units, and it will run rough(took me a few weeks to find my re-used gaskets:mad:) the correct name for it is 'Liner Inlet Manifold" R278161 ;)so sayeth the parts book
cheers
