Hi All,
After some switch issues(clogged with oil!) on my county's CDL, i managed to clean it and get the suction back up, but it seems the 20yr old Diaphram in the vacum pod didnt like the new found suction and has decided to fall appart... Can anyone tell where i can get a replacement at a reasonable cost, so far it seems the only place i can find is all 4x4 here in Newcastle, but at $45 it seems a little pricey for a bit of rubber!!

Or is there other options? cable CDL conversion etc??

Thanks,

Mick.

Assuming that it lasted 20 years I would just spend the $45 as that is good value compared with alternatives.

Some guys have fabricated manual actuators but some have failed due to vibrations and poor welding.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help guys,

Well i have found where all 4x4 get theres from, les richmond automotive, and they want 20 each for them,, which is more on the money.

As for changing them, its not that hard, helped my mate with his in a rangie a few months ago, he paid the 45 for it though. its a hell of alot easier in my county after taking the floor panel out. After getting the actuator out its just a mater of prying open the vacum pod, replacing the diaphram and then crimping it closed again.

I'll think i'll pass on buying a whole actuator ;)

for those looking for a spare them selfs.

Nah, I'm sucking up. I have a Rangie to register and it will need the Stockon Fairy's magic touch.
