does anyone use home made biodiesel and live in a cold area like lithgow. If i started making it, would i have problems with it freezing in winter?

Not sure Ace, but I do know that the chemicals needed will require notifications to your insurance company... Having a BioPlant, that they arent aware of can/will void insurance...
Certain councils frown upon them too.. Check your local requirements...
The savings can be negated by the costs/fines :(

G'day Ace,
A good site to have a look at is this one (http://www.sustainability.ofm.uwa.edu.au/welcome/biodiesel/jonathons_biodiesel) as it has an almost textbook-like list of letters to send, who to send them to. The guy is fully licenced and has complied with regulations, so it's worth a look, at least for interest, if not as a guide.
